The Massbox is the first commercial Laser Ablation Laser Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (LALI-TOF-MS). Because it combines low detection limits with low-cost, uncomplicated operations, it simplifies solid sample analysis for any application requiring trace-level quantitation. The work herein describes the new technology and compares its detection capabilities, operational costs, and ease-of-use to other common techniques used for solid sample analyses.
