This article describes integration of a Raman spectrometer and a state-of-the-art confocal microscope to achieve ultrafast Raman imaging. The alpha300 R ultrafast confocal Raman imaging system was used to three-dimensionally analyze oil-alkane-water emulsion. The alpha300 R was also utilized to detect impurities and to capture the three-dimensional shape of a micro-diamond in quartz.
