Thermo Scientific Fluoro-Max fluorescent beads for lateral flow applications come internally dyed with europium chelate. The dye has an exceptionally broad Stokes shift in which the beads excite at 333 nm and emit long-lived, brilliant color at 613 nm. The extended distance between peaks reduces spectral interference due to auto-fluorescing biologicals and helps to lower fluorescent background, thereby maximizing the signal of the bead. Additionally, these beads provide excellent surface immunoreactivity and won’t leach in aqueous media.
